Good skin care is important for the following reasons: It helps your skin stay in good condition: You're shedding skin cells throughout the day, so it's important to keep your skin glowing and in good condition. An effective routine can help prevent acne, treat wrinkles, and help keep your skin looking its best. Before we get into the logistics, there are three key takeaways I want you to know about skincare:
1. HYDRATE: Seriously drink your water! Hydration has a huge impact on the way your skin looks and feels.
2. FRAGRANCE FREE: You always want to look for perfume or fragrance free products unless they are naturally fragranced. This is because it will be a lot more gentle on your skin and less likely to irritate your skin.
3. TEST NEW PRODUCTS: We all have different skin types so even though I have recommendations for you, ALWAYS test new products a couple weeks before your photoshoot if possible. You do not want to run the risk of a new product causing you to break out or your skin be irritated close to your photoshoot.
For a list a of specific products I recommend, be sure to download this FREE SKINCARE CHECKLIST! Keep in mind to research your skin type and make sure to get the right product for your specific needs. In general, these are great products for most skin types.
